In GELLIFY are proud to announce that Fabio Nalucci, our CEO and Founder, has reached an agreement with Fabio Vaccarono, the vice president of Google and CEO of Google Italy, who will join GELLIFY Group’s board of directors by the end of the third quarter of fiscal year 2021.
After obtaining a degree in economics and an MBA from Bocconi University, Vaccarono joined the strategic consulting firm Bain & Company and afterwards held various positions as CEO and general manager at Gruppo Editoriale L’Espresso, Gruppo Sole 24 Ore, and RCS Mediagroup. He was also CEO of Starcom Mediavest, a Publicis Groupe company.
In 2020, Vaccarono was appointed vice president of Google while maintaining the role of CEO of Google Italy and serving as a member of the board of Google Europe, Middle East, and Africa. He is also a member of the board of directors of Gruppo Sole 24 Ore, Pegaso – Multiversity Group, AmCham Italy, the Scientific Committee of the Mattei Foundation, the Assonime Council, and the digital board of Sorgenia.
Vaccarono and Nalucci share a common strategic vision and ambition to leverage the immense innovation potential and assets represented by innovative B2B digital startups and scaleups to transfer their transformative value to Italian companies, whether they are large corporations or entrepreneurial firms.
“As an independent member of the board of directors, Fabio Vaccarono will bring an extremely valuable contribution for the company vision at a key time when GELLIFY Group is experiencing a major and rapid growth,” said Fabio Nalucci. “Vaccarono’s membership will help both accompanying corporations and companies in their digital transformation processes, as well as transfer to our organization the approach and structure of a large international corporate company that GELLIFY is preparing to become.”
“I am honored to join the GELLIFY board of directors, especially during a time of huge acceleration of digital transformation of all companies and all sectors, both in Italy and in Europe,” Fabio Vaccarono commented.
