Innovation Sprint

Innovation sprint is a GELLIFY methodology used to define the strategic and organisational aspects of innovation, starting from the analysis of the organisational structure of a team and of the internal processes for innovation. It is a workshop based on Innovation Strategy Canvas, a tool deriving from Design Thinking aimed at encouraging collaborative participation of stakeholders and of GELLIFY’s experts.

Step 1: EXPLORATIVE RESEARCH is a number of interviews targeting the top management aimed at the definition of objectives, assets and legacy. Its function is also to map the current role of the Innovation Team, ongoing initiatives and interest areas, stakeholders and their needs.

Step 2: CO-DESIGN WORKSHOP is an interactive and operational day built around Innovation Strategy Canvas. Starting from the definition of a clear and shared Vision, it explores the strategic and operational aspects of innovation: partners to involve, internal and external initiatives, governance, pipeline management.

A structured report with a structure defined by the elements of your Innovation Team:

  • An analysis of the company’s innovation level
  • Innovation Vision
  • Goals
  • Operational Organisation
  • KPIs
  • Internal and external communication of the added value of innovation and of the necessary cultural change
  • A blueprint for (open) innovation initiatives

Plus is a collaborative innovation platform that combines Open Innovation and Design Thinking. It offers the possibility to launch challenges, involve communities of innovators both inside and outside of a company, generate and prototype ideas.

The platform is also available in white label version and is ideal for:

  • B2B challenges or challenges dedicated to your employees, suppliers and network members;
  • Challenges targeting high-tech products;
  • The management and promotion of your brand through call for ideas.

With Plus, you can define and manage any aspect of a call for ideas and of collaborative research projects.

There are 4 different types of idea challenge:

  • Co-creation: highest level of collaboration as all participants are invited to openly cooperate and share their ideas in working groups.
  • Co-design: targeted on a limited and/or specific group of users. Access works through registration or invitation.
    • Inspirations, best practices and benchmarks
    • On field observations
    • User interviews Contest: addressing individuals to receive ideas and stimulate direct competition. It does not involve team-work
    • Hidden: this challenge is just for a few selected participants and is ideal for stakeholders-involvement. You can decide to share or hide the ideas on the platform

Collaborative research challenges are used to source inspirations and insights from a crowd of people acting as researchers that can be asked to contribute with:

  • Inspirations, best practices and benchmarks
  • On field observations
  • User interviews
  • A well-framed co-design and co-creation process, resulting from our experience in design-driven innovation and crowdsourcing
  • An intense and rapid journey to generate open and radical innovation
  • Design methodology and tools enabling conversation among organizations and community
  • An open innovation platform to engage your community

Idea Storming

Idea storming is a GELLIFY methodology that generates innovation concepts starting from business challenges in the form of problems to be solved or opportunities to seize.

It is a Workshop that combines exploratory research and co-design based on scenarios.

Through the involvement of influencers and experts from different businesses, it is possible to exceed the company’s natural limits as far as competences, point of view on issues and opportunities.

GELLIFY can count on a wide network of experts, managers, professionals, designers, researchers, innovators and start-uppers.

Step 1: EXPLORATIVE RESEARCH is divided in two phases. The first aims at investigating information within the company, through a number of interviews that explore objectives, assets and legacy, as well as at mapping all the stakeholders involved. Its second phase is focused on the benchmarks and trends concerning the sector or unrelated areas that provide a positive benchmark and/or inspirations.

Step 2: CO-DESIGN WORKSHOP usually takes place during a 1 day session and it is meant to generate different concepts through the contribution of a panel of professionals with diversified areas of expertise and the use of methodologies such as: Problem framing, Design thinking, Value proposition design, User journey  mapping, User  Experience  Live  Prototyping.

A clear picture of the challenges to face. From 2 to 4 innovative concepts or solutions that can evolve into future analyses, business cases or can be selected for a Proof of Concept.

A concept/solution map in terms of:

  • How to create value
  • Players involved and possible partner typologies
  • Functioning of the product-service system
  • Inclusion of technological solutions
  • Company resources and constraints
  • Strengths and weaknesses
